Usage Guidelines

This command affects those users that are not authorized to be called back
through configuration of the dialer callback-server command. If the username
(the host-name argument in the dialer map command) is not authorized for
callback, the call will be disconnected if the dialer callback-secure
command is configured.

Subject: what does "dialer callback-secure" do in PPP callback?

Hi, I can get PPP callback work without any problem but I just don't
understand what role "dialer callback-secure" plays in the whole picture? I
can get it work with or without it but I've seen it configured in most of
the configuration examples still doesn't know what it's for. Can someone
shed some light on it? thanks! thanks to many people on this board's help so
that I can go this far... still lots of learn in the dial world. Ellie
