0. Did you hit the Enter key a few times?
1. What happens when you plug your laptop directly into host r3's
console port?
2. A side comment: The "no exec" command, which works wonders in cutting
down noise on a reverse telent line, is generally a bad idea to
configure on line con 0, unless you are trying to lock yourself out of
console access.
3. Here's some debug from my 2511. The debug output showed up after I
disconnected from line 8 (the target router was powered off).
