Hi Paul, Jonathan,

May I make a suggestion. I am very aware of not posting an e-m on a subject
that has already been covered, as I know sometimes it can be painfull to
others, but i still do.

The Archive is great if you have a spare hour to go through the months of
the year :(

Could we have on this list a way of performing a generic search on a topic
that covers the entire DB. This may take a few minutes to do, but would be
quicker than going through all the months. I am not sure if this is
available today and I have just missed the link or sommat.

This service is fantastic, and I am only wanting to give some constructive
comments, as I only want to see groupstudy grow as a resource for others.

Hope this is OK,
Ken

All,

The Groupstudy Posting Guidelines, reproduced below as a remind of what
this list is about.

GroupStudy's Message Posting Guidelines

To help stamp out and eradicate superfluous redundancy :-)

Because of the dramatic growth in the number of list-members, it has
become necessary to create more formal guidelines for posting messages
to the group. Before you post please:

Verify the topic has not already been covered by searching the archives
at http://www.groupstudy.com
GroupStudy.com does not promote or support the use of Brain Dumps as a
method of passing a test. Do not post a message asking for test
questions or brain dump sites. This mailing list contains some of the
top people in the industry willing to help you with your networking
studies. We are not interested in helping you cheat. Any violation of
Cisco's Non-Disclosure Agreement will be reported to Cisco. Never post
actual test questions or any information that would give someone an
unfair advantage. Report any violatins to abuse@groupstudy.com.

Always send messages in plain text, not HTML format. Not everyone has
an HTML enabled mail client.

Always edit your quoted replies to the bare essential. Do not quote the
entire message including the signature. This just waste bandwidth.

Verify the post is relevant to studying for Cisco Certifications. Please
submit more general questions to the newsgroup comp.dcom.sys.cisco or
the Cisco TAC. In general, a post should not begin with "I have a client
who is trying to .." (Unless of course that client is trying to pass the
CCIE and has some relevant piece of information for the list members)

Do not post commercial advertisements concerning some product you are
trying to sell to the list members. If you would like to offer the list
members a discount for your product, please contact
cisco-owner@groupstudy.com for further instructions.

Double check the archives at http://www.groupstudy.com to verify your
question/topic has not already been covered.

Do not post copyrighted material that you do not own without prior
approval from the copyright holder.

Remain courteous to your fellow list members. Check the tone of your
post to verify it can not be viewed as anything else but courteous and
friendly. Because inflection is not carried across the written word, a
post you view as friendly may be taken by another list member as a
flame. Also, never respond to an inflamitory or inappropriate comment.
Remember we have over 10,000 participants. Even if only 1/2 of 1% of the
members responds, that is still over 50 messages! Do not respond to any
postings that are not related to computer networking. Please send all
abuse reports to abuse@groupstudy.com.

In general, the message body should be longer then the signature.

Re-read your message before posting to verify it will be of interest to
the other list members.

Never send a message directed to a single list member through the
mailing list. Please e-mail that member directly.

Always check the archives at http://www.groupstudy.com before posting!
