Not true. The RTP lab *is* open on weekends.
The weekend slots are more popular than weekday slots with working folks
so most of them are reserved in advance. I found a number of Saturdays
and Sundays open in March 2004. The proctors are in the lab on the
weekend but they obviously do NOT answer phone calls because they are
busy proctoring the exam and besides, it's not their job to do exam
scheduling.
However, it is true that it's not easy to contact CCIE program personnel
by phone. The only public contact I know about is Shanon Fair
(1-919-392-4525, sfair@cisco.com) and I get the impression she is a
Monday through Friday employee and very busy. You will be lucky if she
returns your call or answers your email the same day.
