Ruud,
As a veteran of more lab attempts than I would care to admit (4), I think I
know how you feel. I even paid for a re-score, which is usually a waste of
money, but demonstrates that I really thought I passed.
When you say everything was working, did you actually ping every other
interface from every router? That would be upwards of 120 pings. Or did
you, like most of us, just take a rushed look at the routing tables, which
seemed to look right?
In this regard the addition of TCL scripting is a real help. At the Golden
Moment, when your IGPs are complete and everything should be pingable, you
can actually do a throrough test with a reasonable amount of effort and time
using TCL. There have been some recent posts on this, and there is a good
paper at www.netmasterclass.net.
Another great IGP tester: debug ip routing, sit back for a moment and see
if everything is stable.
Hang in there!
