Check out CRT or SecureCRT from www.vandyke.com It's a cheap but good, and
can be configured to send a carriage return when connecting, and optionally
a login/expect script.

Subject: press enter before the screen displays when connecting to console
Hello,
I have a terminal server that I telnet to. When I telnet to this device, it
reverse connects to devices
connected to the async ports of this device. The
routers it connects to are connected via the console ports. The conosle
ports requiere you to press enter or some charicter. When I telnet to the
devices connected to the async ports, I need to press enter before I am
prompted with the vty prompts. Does anyone know what I can do to keep the
keep from pressing enter or any key at all. I need to automatily be
prompted with the VTY prompt. Router> or
switch>.
Thanks
Rich
