Mark,

I don't think it really matters.
If you do use the method below - be certain that you want ALL IP interfaces
to be included in the process.

The method you illustrated is certainly very quick to configure - however my
personal preference is to configure ospf with an entry for each interface.
This ensures you're absolutly certain about what interfaces you're
configuring.

Obviously if you have many interfaces this could introduce errors from
typos - and therefore may not be sensible

eg
router ospf 4000
network 136.4.3.2 0.0.0.0 area 0
network 136.6.4.3 0.0.0.0 area X etc..

Subject: OSPF Network command

Hi All

Is it acceptable to use the following command when all interfaces on a
router are in the same ospf area:

network 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 area 0

Is this ok to use on the lab or is if preferable to specify each network
in separate commands?
I've tried both ways and both produce the same result.

Thanks

mark
