Just a general question....for the exam, is it prudent when doing mutual
redistribution at one router only to filter what is being redistributed from
one routing protocol to another? I understand the danger when doing mutual
redistribution at 2 points.
For example, if redistributing from OSPF to RIP at R1 which has only 1
interface connecting to RIP domain (with split-horizon enabled) and 1
interface connecting to OSPF domain, should I still include route-maps that
filter networks? I just don't see the danger in a mutual redistribution at
one point and am trying to find ways to save time.
How about with other protocols?
Thanks in advance!
James
