1)Will command "switchport priority extend" work with non cisco ip phone
(nortel, etc.) ?
What if somebody bypasses phone and plugs PC directly to switch -
Is it possible to maintain trusted boundary with non cisco IP phone ?
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps646/products_configuration

2)AFAIK "switchport vlan voice X" works only with Cisco IP phone (CDP)
So, for non Cisco ip phone only valid configuration (without qos) for 3550
is:
int fa0/1
 switchport mode trunk
 switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk allowed vlan add 10,20 (10 data, 20 Voice)
 switchport trunk native vlan 10
 no ip address
 spanning-tree portfast

How to better aplly QoS in this case ? How to override CoS for PC data
traffic ?
Should it be for untagged data packets:
 mls qos cos 0
 mls qos cos override

Thanks,
Dmitry
