Loops when PVST+ working with MISTP

The following statement captured from cisco website, anyone knows why does
the loops occur?

MISTP mode cannot be used inside a service provider infrastructure because a
switch using PVST+ mode connected with a switch running MISTP mode cannot
see the BPDUs of the other switch, a condition that may cause loops in the
network.
