Following on, I just tested this and I found that my default route was
automatically re-distributed through RIP as long as I used the
default-network command, the static route to 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 did not work
without manual re-dis. Not had chance to test this with OSPF yet.

Subject: Default-route generation??

Hi Group,

As per Jeff Doyle: "after a default route is identified in the routing
table, RIP, IGRP and EIGRP will automatically advertise it. OSPF and ISIS
require some additional config."
Trying this on real routers didn't work, configuring a default route, RIP
didn't advertise the default route to other routrers in the RIP domain.
didn't work until the deafult is redistributed into RIP, Any opinions??

Also would like to ask about "ip default network" command, is it working
with RIP, IGRP and EIGRP only or can be used with ospf???

Any opinion is highly appreciated,
Karim.
