Your question is a bit vague, but concerning the "redirects" keyword,
I'll try answering your question based on the following (classic)
wccp topology :
LAN (clients) ------- router --------- Internet
|
|
cache-engine(s)
On this scenario, you have the choice configuring "ip wccp
web-cache redirect in" on the LAN interface OR "ip wccp
web-cache redirect out" on the interface going to the internet ...
However, with "redirect out", the router will need to perform
an initial route-lookup in order to find out the outgoing
interface. Then of course, the router will have to make amother
route lookup to be able to redirect the traffic the the web-cache(s).
With "redirect in", there's no need to perform this initial
route lookup so it is probably better to prefer redirect in
when given the choice (assuming the scenario is the one above).
