You can simply type it in, if it does not appear in on-line help. I seem
to recall that this was the case with older versions of the IOS. New
versions give you a bit more help. Below is 12.2(17).
R1a(config)#policy-map TEST
R1a(config-pmap)#class ?
WORD class-map name
class-default System default class matching otherwise unclassified
packets
R1a(config-pmap)#class
However, I think you are using the wrong keyword. It is "class-default"
not "default."
