RSVP support on immediate router ?

If I have IP Phone A & C connected as belows, is it necessary to enable RSVP
on the immediate router R2 ?

Phone-A <---> R1 <-----> R2 <-----> R3 <-----> Phone-C

For Phone-A & C, I'd configure as follows :
interface Ethernet1/0
ip rsvp bandwidth 24 24

dial-peer voice 3 voip
 destination-pattern 7711
 session target ipv4:138.10.70.7
 req-qos controlled-load
 ip precedence 5
