Migrated a 400+ router network from rip redistribution to eigrp in the
core to a an all eigrp net in 8 weeks. Sweet!!!
A bank I worked at long ago had 450 routers all running rip(mid
nineties) and was migrated to ospf. I have heard good things about it.
However it took many years to migrate and through several mergers.

For what it's worth, I have personally worked on a 300 router network
that was all EIGRP, and there didn't appear to be any problems with it.
It was in place long before I got there and they just needed some new
stuff added to the net... as far as I know, it's still running (this was
about a year and a half ago).
