when an igmp querier sends queries,
it sets a timer, max-query-timeout in the queries.
if no response is received in that interval,
querier prunes that interface for that group.
query-timeout is when a querirer dies , for the second
one to take over.
if nothing is received from querier in the pim query timeout interval,
the secondary takes over...

Subject: ip igmp query-timeout vs ip pim query-timeout
Hi all,
Maybe I'm near brain-dead, but I can't figure out the difference between the 2
commands above or when I should use one versus the other.
Can someone out there set me straight? I'd appreciate it.
