PIM - DVMRP Interoperability

Hi all,

Configuring features related to the above requires that mgated to be running
somewhere on the network since Cisco routers can't run DVMRP. Is this
realistic on the lab?

I realize it's always possible for Cisco to say something like, "Assume
there's a DVMRP router and configure the neighboring PIM router to such and
such." But, if Cisco did that, how could one check if the configuration was
done correctly?
