- All,
This probably isn't as off topic as it
sounds, as some Voice CCIE candidates
will probably be asking the same thing
as they ramp up. . .
Has anyone used an Adtran 550 to perform
voice emulation successfully with either
FXO or PRI's?
* Can a single port be setup for both acting
as "network" meaning that the FXO ports
terminate a connection from the network,
and act as "user" ports which terminate
incoming calls as well for user equipment?
* Or do you need two separate ports, one to
act as network, and another to act as user?
* Is a normal RJ11/14 (crossed) used with
FXO's when connected to a VIC-2FXO-M1, or
do you need a straight thru cable?
* At what point should you see TEI assigned
on a NM-HDV (with VWIC) during the Adtran's
configuration? Awaiting establishment is
about as far as I get.
* Is there any real difference between the
network and user modules that provide one
or multiple T1/PRI port(s)?
For study purposes, which ones would be
best?
--- Thanks ---
