I agree with Richard, unless it says no redistribution or a condition indicates that the route x.x.x.x is to be disallowed or should not be seen, then you must redistribute anything and everything. If a route is not in the routing table ( via redistribution or network cmd ) then chances are a related interface would not be reachable and most labs say any to any connectivity or you must be able to ping everything. Also the route might be neccessary from a BGP perspective.

hello all, i am working on a doit lab 1, i dont see anywhere in the req to redistribute ospf into rip, but it is done in the final configs. this would be needed to attain full reachability i assume...... is this normal, or should i only redistribute when it is explicitly stated?
