console : transport input none

Hi all,

Some confusion on my side, here's the scenario:

Simply allow telnet to console and vty ports. So I found this:

line con0
exec-ti 0 0
log sync
transport input none
line vty 0 4
password ccie
log sync
login

Why do we use transport input none on console? Is the "in" on vty ports
telnet by default?
