Hi Ken,
As I understand it, provided the clients don't already belong to a VTP
domain (if they don't then they actually belong to the NULL domain), they
will automatically configure themselves as part of the domain your VTP
server is advertising.
Cheers,
Nigel

Subject: VTP Client Mode
Hello all,
If you have VTP server and lots of VTP clients, MUST you configure a VTP
domainname on the client.
One would assumes so, but just checking that it does not receive a VTP
advertisement from a server and it acts in promiscuous mode and will inherit
any server advertisement it received first and attached itself to that
domain?
Please can someone confirm this small point.
