Group,
I am experiencing some funny issue with MGX 8000 series switch.
I have an NNI(T1) connected to our carrier's switch and have 15 PVCs on it.
Here is what happens. When I have 5 pvcs out of this 15 go down at the same
time somehow,
all the other PVCs on this NNI are affected for a short period of time.
When I check the logs on the MGX, I see that NNI port itself is failing and
coming back up 30secs later followed by those 15 PVCs .
I find an unknown msgtype there in the log:
"
10/14/2003-06:54:13 07 tSCM SCM-4-UNKNOWN_MSG
unknown msgType ATMLMI/ATM SVC, msgQid 0x0, srcId 0, msgFmt 0, msgType 0x51
10/14/2003-06:54:13 07 PAR:Fail PAR-7-INTFC_FAIL
Interface 22.4 Failed
"
The same thing happens when I have these 5 PVCs come back up simultaneously.
But, if I have those PVCs go down or up one by one after the other, the MGX
behaves the way it supposed to.
When this happens, our carrier sees it active with no alarms but there is
one way transmit coming into them therefore they do not report it as
trouble. This keeps happening and I am trying to find out whats causing this
strange reaction.
Does anyone has any idea??
Thanks in advance.
Yuki
