I believe its completely up to you, Unless cisco tells you otherwise.

I normally like to do red. Without route-map or DLs in the beginning just to
see what will happen, and if loop does occur, than I will fix it with DLs,
tag or distance command. But for the most part, loop does not occur, unless
you have 2 points of mutual redistribution. Chances are good that you will
see the loop.
But still, I like to see the loop first and fix it.
If you just put route-maps or DLs without looking at it first. You may not
learn as much.

Just my 2 cents...

Subject: Routing Redistribution Policy in the Exam

Guys,

Hello all,

Some of the Test lab examples out on the web, say things such as
redistrinute OSPF into EIGRP etc etc etc Now, do we always use a route map
and be specific on what we redistribute (even if they do not ask for a route
map), or if they dont specify it, dont use one.

I am very concerned that this could trip me up in my exam.

Many thx indeed,
Ken
