Good evening all,

Just reading the cisco config and doyle 2 (page 741) and I still can get the
difference between these two values.
Vol2 says "The delta or absolute keywords specify whether the alarm will
test the change in MIB values over the specified interval OR the actual MIB
value"

Can some post an example to clarify this?

Maybe im whacked out :(

----------------------exmples------------------------------
R1(config)#rmon alarm 1 ken 30 ?
  absolute Test each sample directly
  delta Test delta between samples

R1(config)#rmon alarm 1 ken 30

delta
Tests the change between MIB variables, which affects the alarmSampleType in
the alarmTable of the RMON MIB.
absolute
Tests each MIB variable directly, which affects the alarmSampleType in the
alarmTable of the RMON MIB.
