Good question... Here's what I like to do... I like to set up an eBGP
neighbor within my topology, and configure it similarly to what I'm going to
have to do for my real external peers. This way, you can see what you're
advertising (No more and no less than what is being asked), and verify that
any additional parameters are being advertised in the manner you've been
asked.

Provided you have enough time, this will give you a means of testing your
configuration, and will give you some peace of mind. Just don't forget to
remove the additional configuration from each of the routers you're playing
with.
