Sorry, I messed up the meaning in editing. I meant that you see filters in
single-point redistribution situations because the authors want to be on the
safe side, just in case something is misconfigured elsewhere in the network
(like split horizon in RIP). Thus, you probably don't need filters in
theory, but you may want them in practice.
