Arif,
My understanding is when u configure "queue-limit" it basically defines
the size of the Q and max-# of packets that can be Qed. So when # packets
arriving at interface exceeds the Q size configured there is "Tail drop"
as packets get dropped.
So to avoid "Tail drop" and its effect on TCP packets u configure
random-detect. So they go together i guess. HTH.
Anbody correct me if i am wrong.
