Hey Ralph,
You might generate more interest in IPX questions if you post this to
the Professional/Technical list.
Why? IPX (and Token Ring) was removed from the exam November 2002 and
those of us busily studying for the lab test avoid the topic as much as
possible. <g>

Subject: ipx access list question
Hey guys,
reading on ciscos website I found the following documentation.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk870/tk451/tk374/technologies_tech_note
09186a0080093cae.shtml#cs5
My question is at the end it has a accesslist config for: All IPX
networks begin with A43XXXXX and CBDXXXXX. Networks A43XXXXXX do not
need to go to some routers
they show this :
access-list 805 deny A43C0100
access-list 805 deny A43C0101
access-list 805 deny A43C0102
etc
or you could use this
access-list 905 deny any A4300000.0000.0000.0000 FFFFF.FFFF.FFFF.FFFF
My question is why o you have to go to a extended access list? why not
do
access-list 805 deny A4300000.0000.0000.0000 FFFFF.FFFF.FFFF.FFFF
wouldn't that work as well?
