Subject: Extent of dlsw on lab
Please help!
I am wondering what dlsw configurations are no longer possible without
Token
Ring interfaces.
Am I correct in thinking that FST and Direct encaps cant be tested?
But LLC2 encap (dlsw lite) over Frame Relay is still possible?
All the examples and docs i have read on peer groups, clusters,
load-balancing, backup peers are all in TR only environments. It seems
that
these configurations are meant to either "proxy" TR explorer frames in
some
way, or happen to rely on RIF field to provide loop-free operation when
there
are redundant dlsw paths (which seems it wouldnt work somehow with
Spanning
Tree).
These features just dont SEEM right. Can anyone clear this up?
Any suggestions on what features SHOULD be practiced?
