Sorry to hear about the bad news. I think your big mistake was using the
newer command knowing there's another way to do it. I did something similar
on my lab, but after thinking about it, I asked the proctor what he thought,
mentioning there was two ways to do it. They were looking for the 'other'
way, not my way. I changed it. Always ask if there's any doubt. Get 'em
next time! If you ABSOLUTELY/POSITIVELY sure you met all the requirements,
then try the re-grade. Not too many people have luck with it (probably less
than 10%), but it's still better odds than the lottery!

Subject: R&S LAB Re-Grade - Any thoughts / experiences
Hi all,
I just took my IE lab for the first time and didn't pass. I know the pass /
fail ration for first timers is low (very low) but I really felt that I had
a good handle on what they asked only going to the DOC CD for 1 question
(worth 4 points). Everything else I knew. After all that I left the testing
center feeling like I was on an unnatural high. But then I saw the bad news
that I had failed and that I could re-take the exam in the next 30 days. I
can think of two things that I had to configure that I used a newer command
/ configuration to accomplish the task and I don't know if they have an
automatic grader that was possibly looking for the more common (older
configurations). If this is the case and I was only say 6 points off then
that could push me over the edge.
I would like to hear any horror or success stories of people who paid the
extra 250 for the re-grade and if you think it's worth it or not.
thanks..
Lee
