RE: Eigrp on Frame-relay point-to-point

One confusing question here.

"When I run EIGRP on Frame-relay point-to-point (physical interface not
sub)."

Correct my understanding on this, but if you run FR on a main interface, by
nature the interface is a multipoint interface?

Please can someone clarify this is correct/not correct?

Many thx

I am just about to configure

r1------------------r2

R1 is a sub-int p2p and R2 is a mjor int (by definition and multipoint), so
I am just wondering what hello timers it will use as default?

Regards,
Ken

In brief, when EIGRP is configured on the router, "EIGRP split-horizon"
is enabled by default on all router interfaces, including vlan
interfaces. This is *not* the same thing as ip split-horizon.

Whether or not you disable EIGRP split-horizon depends on your scenario
and what you are trying to do.

Additionally, there is a wealth of information on EIGRP split horizon
issue in the groupstudy archives.

Hi,
When I run EIGRP on Frame-relay point-to-point (physical
interface not sub). Do I need to enable IP Split-horizon?

R1 --------FR---------R2

Thank
