Jadin_321,
When I took the lab last almost 2 years ago, it was generally thought that
IP routing was the core of the exam, accounting for maybe 70% of the points.
That includes both the IGPs and BGP. I'm willing to bet it's still a
similar percentage, with things like QOS and multicast filling in the
missing IPX and token ring holes. The 3550 with it's phonebook-sized config
guide probably gets a bunch of use as well. That said, there's few if any
normal (or even abnormal) IP routing scenarios that a 2500 can't do. If
your lab's got all the equipment you mentioned, I think that's more than
enough.

Subject: RE: 12.2 IOS Version
Not really my question.. I would like to here the opinion of other CCIE's
as well. If one were to study on 7 2500 series routers, 2 2600 series
routers with voip, 2 3550's and an isdn sim, (along with some time, for
argument sake let's say a week, on an online lab for atm) is that equipment
enough to pass the lab? If not then why? and how much is the cadidate
missing by not having 2600 series routers exclusively.
It just seems a bit much to have to buy seven 2600 series routers along with
everything else to pass the lab.
