Ajaz,
I had a similar experience with Dell's 1655 6pack servers. 6 virtual "NIC"
on the T-Bar/BUS side and 4 physical ports on the outside. The CLI looked
very similar to Cisco. It used dot1q technology. Each port had to have a
native vlan assigned to it, and the vlans had to be configured on each port
as tagged or untagged. The 4 physical ports configed up just like a standard
trunk and you could have up to two port-channels. It used LACP to negotiate
with the Cisco switch. Does this sound like your Sunfire onboard switch?
If you are interested, I'll send you a working config later tonight. I don't
have one with me at home.
Thanks,
Mike N
