I would suggest taking a look at the "cptone" option in order to modify the
call progress tones.

The following link is a good read too

Subject: Getting Phones to Work in FXS Ports

Hi Group,

I would very much appreciate some help with this guys..... I am trying to
get a standard British Telecom phones to work in the FXS ports on my
routers. When I plug a phone into port 0 the phone rings continuously
whereas plugging it into port 1 leaves it dead. Neither ports seem to
respond to basic IOS config commands. I think I have eliminated equipment
faults because I've tried several phones in several FXS cards in several
routers. I'm using a BT (white) plug to RJ11 adaptor and I've tried several
of these as well.

I am wondering if FXS ports are designed for USA phones and aren't
compatible with BT phones unless some special IOS config or phone lead
configuration is done??? I've looked on the CIsco web site but can't find
anything about it.

Has anybody else in the UK had the same problem and managed to solve it?

Thanks in advance,

Chris.
