If you can get the book used at a reasonable price I think it is worth it.
The book has only been out two years but has already become a little dated.
Dated topics in book
IGRP
ATM uses old method
Switching
Token Ting
Async material
SRB
Things I like about the book
Good DLSW chapter
Good Frame Relay chapter
5 big labs in the back of the book (may confuse beginners contains topics
like BGP that is not covered in the book)
First few chapter good helping beginners setup thier home lab
Lots of labs at the end of each chapter
I will be waiting in anticipation to for Vol2

Akbar,
Both All-in-One and Practical Studies are good books worth reading and
practicing cover-to-cover. However, they do not go nearly deep enough.
You'll want to go from there to more advanced scenarios. Recommend you get
two:
IPExpert ($499) and NetMasterClass ($695):
http://www.netmasterclass.net/site/doit1.php
Those are very reasonable prices for what you will get. Recommend you get
both ... it's worth it to get current scenarios from multiple authors; and
these authors teach this stuff in their bootcamps every day so they know the
latest topics and know how to lead you down the path to a beehive. These
workbooks also come with the solutions so you don't have to waste too many
hours digging yourself out when you fall in a hole. Once you can do all
these scenarios easily, you'll be ready for the lab .. and then it will
probably take three attempts. Don't get depressed; it's hard, but so
rewarding in the end.
Best of luck,
Kym
