Just change the subinterface number. Be sure and remove the
configuration from the old subinterface before deleting the subinterface
unless you plan to just reload the router. I've seen a couple times
where an old interface was brought back caused various problems
(duplicate addressing, etc).

If for some reason you want to use that particular subinterface number,
delete the subinterface, save the config and then reload.

Subject: How to remove serial subif ?

Hi group,

If I wrongly configured a serial subif to be P2P, I can not change the
link
type to P2MP even if I remove and create the subif again. Are there any
way
to accomplish this without having reload the router ? Thanks.

regards,
alec
