Take a look at the arp entry for your default route immediately after clear the arp cache. Then check it again after your connections start failing. More than likely you have something conflicting with your Internet gateway.

All my Vlans are protected, some client Vlans needs access to certain servers in other Vlans, everything was working fine and everyone is working just fine with no hurts at all. I have Internet connection but with the PIX configuration for Arp timeout setting to the default value 14400 sec <http:///> my internet connection fails right away and when I type clear arp It start to work again and then few seconds again and my internet connection fails again.. Is there any way so that I can overcome this situation?
