I have some trouble about this question.
"Assume that voice traffic will be passing over dlci 78, 64Kbps speed.
Configure FR that no latency and no packet dropped.
Dlci 87 has 50% bandwidth of port speed. Configure CIR, Be and Bc with default
value of Tc and default it queueing mechanism. Physical port speed is
256Kbps"
Help please!! What is the recommended formula for Bc, CIR and Be for data and
voice?
Why don't they use Cir as the max value of bandwidth?
Why??? Why ...?
IP Expert solution:
map-class frame-relay voice
frame-relay cir 32000
frame-relay bc 320
frame-relay mincir 32000
no frame-relay adaptive-shaping
frame-relay fair-queue
!
map-class frame-relay data
frame-relay cir 64000
frame-relay bc 8000
frame-relay be 8000
no frame-relay adaptive-shaping
interface Serial1/0
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay
clockrate 256000
frame-relay traffic-shaping
frame-relay intf-type dce
!
interface Serial1/0.1 point-to-point
ip address 172.16.78.1 255.255.255.252
frame-relay class voice
frame-relay interface-dlci 78
!
interface Serial1/0.2 point-to-point
ip address 172.16.78.5 255.255.255.252
frame-relay class data
frame-relay interface-dlci 87
Cordialement/Best regards;
