Congrats! Passing on your first time is something to really be proud of.
From 8/18 to 8/20 there must have been 24+ new people certified since I am
12173. Congrats to all that passed!

Subject: CCIE #12149 - first time
Haven't seen many numbers posted lately so I'll submit my little letter
of
joy. I passed the R&S lab in SJC on 8/18. Only took one at bat and I
hit
out the park. I would like to thank everyone on this list that
tolerated
the endless questions that I had. I learned a lot from just asking
questions and reading others. The people in the #cisco IRC channel were
great. If not for the countless knowledge, then just for knowing that
other
people were going/went thru the same thing that I was!
The primary source of material I used was the IPExpert v4.0 workbook.
There
are several 8 hour labs in this workbook as well as several individual
labs
covering topics on everything you would need to know. I also used the
6colabs.com "The Shrike" scenario and older Boson labs. Other than
that,
all I can recommend is to study to the point that you think you are over
prepared, because in the end, you will never know too much.
