Wow........ How did this post even get to the group? It took me 2
months after requesting membership (months after passing the written) to
even get on this list...... WTF?!?
Anyhow...... If this post is real, I'd say you need to try to make your
millions in the WWE as a cross-dressing ringside assistant or as a local
public access cable TV shock-jock or something. Personally (and, others
in the list, don't be offended if you use it) but I think that Cisco
should forbid anyone with an AOL account from EVER getting one of their
certifications. I mean, seriously, who would ever sincerely accept
network design or advice from someone using AOL?!?! If anything, it
would damage the reputation of Cisco and the certifications they offer.
As far as traceroute goes, you need to tweak your network until a
traceroute to 127.0.0.1 shows at least 5 hops. This means your network
is really fast and prime for you to connect to your AOL broadband
service you (for some reason) pay for on top of your cable/dsl monthly
fee.
Other than that, I'd say in general to get a clue and stop wasting the
time of those serious about becoming an expert in this delightful field.

Hi I am new to cisco I have a quick question for you network guys. What
book should I read to be a CCIE? I read a book and now I am Sun
certified Solaris Admin. I want to continue my learning and become a
smart IT guy. How can I get to the six figure plus salaries the
fastest? I have very little IT experience except using MS Office and
AOL but I can really click around to get this stuff working. I think
network expert is the next logical step. Also I was reading about
traceroute and nslookup, does anybody have any good explanations of how
these thingies work?
Thanks
Greg
