Clns router isis command is needed only for multiarea IS-IS. ie.,If u have
Router isis 1 , router isis 2 .
It is optional for conventional (single area) IS-IS.

Subject: IS-IS config

In some document:

To configure Integrated IS-IS on a Cisco router, both
the clns router isis and ip router isis commands must
be enabled in interface configuration mode.

But a lot of solution for ISIS only enable ip router
isis under the interface, and it does work. Then,
should I add clns router isis during the lab if asked
for ISIS?
