Ip ospf demand-circuit is used for preventing hello and lsa msgs from activating the DDR link. Otherwise, if the ddr link is opened, this msgs will be sent. Don't forget to specify interesting traffic for this link.

Dialer-watch makes it possible to activate a ddr link only if a particular route is not present in the routing table. Don't forget to declare dialer map and to put the ddr interface on dialer watch-group.

I hope it is clear

Objet : Dialer watch and OSPF demand circuit

Hi,

I am quite confused dial watch and OSPF demand circuit. Sometimes in the
labs and examples, dialer watch and OSPF demand circuit is used alone and
somestimes they are used together. Is there any guideline for using
1. Dialer watch + OSPF w/o demand circuit
2. OSPF demand circuit with normal DDR
3. Dialer watch + OSPF demand circuirt

Thanks.

Regards,
Tony
