Router(config-dial-peer)# vad , by default it is enabled

It enables voice activity detection (VAD) by disabling the transmission
of packets during periods of silence. Aprovechar mejor el poco bandwith
que pudiera estar disponible.

If VAD is enabled, there are commands to adjust parameter values
associated with VAD in voice-port configuration mode, example:
Router(config-voiceport)# comfort-noise
This parameter creates subtle background noise to fill silent gaps
during calls when VAD is enabled on voice dial peers. If comfort noise
is not generated, the resulting silence can fool the caller into
thinking the call is disconnected instead of being merely idle. The
default is that comfort noise is enabled.

dial-peer voice 101 voip
 destination-pattern 3000
 session target ipv4:192.168.100.1
 vad
!
voice port 1/2
 comfort-noise
!
