My experience is that emailing them 3 or 4 times a day gets their
attention.
Be sure to remain unfailingly polite, but bug the heck out of them!
Yes. They have had cut backs just like everyone else.
A few years ago they used to publish a 1-800 phone number.
Now it's all email.

Subject: OT: Cisco Career Certifications support?
Does anyone here know how to get in touch with an actual person? I am
getting the runaround on getting my CCDP renewed, and it appears that
there is a distinct possiblity that these people are understaffed,
overworked, and not aware of some of the information in their own
support website.
I am/was a CCDP. And as I was approaching my CCDA, CCDP expiration
period. I took the 642-871 architecture test and passed this exam.
This exam renews the CCDA certification. I am currently a CCNP [just
recertifed],
There is a discussion thread for public view:
Title: CCNP moving towards CCDP
Link:
http://ciscocert.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/ciscocert.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.
php?p_faqid=1012
<javascript:%20void%20window.open('http://ciscocert.custhelp.com/cgi-bin
/ciscocert.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1012&p_created=1002774720
',%20'_blank')> &p_created=1002774720
In which it states and i quote "Once you have obtained your CCNP
certification you will only need to complete two additional requirements
to obtain your CCDP certification. You must successfully pass the DESGN
640-861 exam (or have a valid CCDA) and the ARCH 642-871 exam. To obtain
additional information on the CCDP certification please visit:
www.cisco.com/go/ccdp"
YET- here is a snippet of verbage in one of my many customer responses.
--- Please note that the CCNP certification does not waive any of the
exam requirements for CCDP certification. It is my guess that this
person is unaware of the article, but I am not sure.
Any ideas or recommendations? I am currently working on using the brute
force method, but it is as of yet, ineffective. On a funnier note, my
last incident auo-responsed with the useful link of the ccnp moving
towards ccdp article I tried to inform them about. This should be
interesting.
If any of you work for cisco, feel free to point this out to some in the
career certifications department my latest case is reference #
030730-000371.
Any other ideas, suggestions would be welcomed.
[the fun of having to keep professional certifications alive while you
wait on that number]
