Whether or not it works is definitely important.
However, for those of us sitting for the lab exam, I think it's
important to follow the Doc CD. If the Doc CD says to turn it on I would
bet that the grading script will check for it.

I recall a similiar thread I got into not too long ago and I tried it
in the lab. CAR worked with or without CEF, I can't recall what
platform I used anymore though:(
