Hi all,
I'm having a strange problem when testing with multicasting and
statically configured RP on router R1.
network:
R1--------R2 Bothe version 12.2.10
Without configuring an ip pim rp-address on R2 I can ping the
multicastgroup on R1. Is this normal ? I've seen that the autorp
funtion is enabled. Can this be the reason and if so can I disable this
autorp ?
Pieces of the configs:
R1
int Ethernet0
ip add 192.198.1.1 255.255.255.0
ip igmp join-group 233.33.33.33
ip pim sparse-mode
!
int Serial0
ip address 200.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
ip pim sparse-mode
!
ip pim rp-address 192.168.1.1
int Ethernet0
ip add 192.198.2.1 255.255.255.0
ip pim sparse-mode
!
int Serial0
ip address 200.0.0.2 255.255.255.0
ip pim sparse-mode
!
Thankx for the reply,
