The interface range command can be used for VLAN, FastEthernet,
GigabitEthernet and Port-channel interfaces. You can also define a macro
to group commonly used ports.

Switch(config)#interface range fastethernet 0/1 - 24
Switch(config-if-range)#exit
Switch(config)#define interface-range ALLFE fastethernet 0/1 - 24
Switch(config)#interface range macro ALLFE
Switch(config-if-range)#

Recently I configured macros for an ISP to help group different customer
interfaces together. It can also help ease configuration in an
enterprise network by grouping server, client or trunk interfaces
together.

Subject: 3550 int range command

Does any one know how to apply a command to a whole bunch of fast
Ethernet
interfaces on a 3550 switch at once.

The interface range command doesn't seem to help - it only lets me use
vlan
interfaces.

Thanks

Shane
