The problem occurs when you configure a 3550 port with "switchport
access vlan 20" and forget the additional command "switchport mode
access". By not configuring "switchport mode access" you leave the 3550
port in dynamic mode. If you then configure a bridge group on the
connected router the switch port will change to trunking mode when DLSW
is started and the port will be removed from the originally configured
vlan.
