Hi Mike,
Thanks for the answer, the question now is how do I stop the vlans from
propagating from swich 3550-1 to swich 3550-2?
I tried to change the vtp domain name of switch 3550-2 but it still receive
the Vlans!!!
I tried to config with the command: "switchport trunk allow vlan
remove....." but the switch rejected the command due to the facts that the
port-channel and channe-group are not switchports!
Regards,
Xy

VTP, a layer 2 protocol, if configured, transmits vlan information
across all trunk ports. (Depending on the VTP mode your switch is in).
When port channeling is configured, the ports participating in the
channel become trunk ports.

Subject: Cat 3550 port-channel
Hi everyone
quick question:
Why do the vlans still passing through two 3550 switches when both
connected via a Port-Channel bundled by a Channel-group, assigned an ip
address on both sides? I thought Channel Group with a layer 3 address
would not permit any Vlan to pass through... am I missing something?
Any idia on this?
Enclosed are the configs of 2 switches:
interface Port-channel1
no switchport
ip address 10.35.35.1 255.255.255.0
interface FastEthernet0/21
