Have a scenario where I have an internal network with lots of routers - all
using IBGP and ISIS. Several of the routers have connections to an ISP
which is used for Internet access as well as Transit between internal site.
So the question is what are some advanced methods that can be used to
control the routing policy. Want some intranet traffic to transit internal
and some intranet traffic to transit via the ISP. And of course internet
traffic to come and go via the closest ISP connection point.
It's much more than just using things like MED, AS-prepend, weight,
local-as preference, etc. I suspect would want to look at route
reflectors, communities, etc. Any thoughts from real world experience with
a similar scenario?
Thanks,
Ian
